Log Furniture Tenon Machine
This is the tenon machine I use for all my log furniture. You can see it did not cost me the $15,000 I was quoted to build one, but it makes very clean and accurate tenons. It is set up with three pulleys and a foot actuator. It is hinged so that when not in use it can be flipped up out of the way.
The drill motor is a 7.5 amp worm drive Milwaukee. It is a two speed 300-1200 rpms. The 300 speed is just right for the Shraeder cutter heads.
The clamping system is an adapted crown mold clamp from a fifteen inch Hitatchi Mitre Saw.
The drill sled runs in a channel and sits on four rollers reclaimed from an over head garage door.
